connais personnellement est un des violonistes les plus accompli que
j'ai pu rencontrer. Il est, parmi tous les grands violonistes du moment,
à ma connaissance, le seul à improviser ses cadences et les bis en
concert, avec une aisance et une maîtrise invraisemblable grâce à la
sobriété, à la sincérité de son discours et à la plus haute exigeance
instrumentale. Il est de ces artistes, dont un concert reste un
événement, un souvenir. Avec son partenaire, Christian Ihle Hadland, qui
n'a pas l'air d'être fait de paille non plus....cette soirée est à
classer d'avance dans les "best of" de l'histoire de CARNEGIE'SMALL. Une
soirée qui nous mettra un temps d'égal à égal avec Carnegie Hall,

Le violoniste norvégien, Henning Kraggerud, est l’un des artistes scandinaves les plus talentueux.
Il joue comme soliste avec de nombreux d’orchestres mondiaux majeurs à la
fois en Europe et
en Amérique du Nord. Les récents succès et futurs
engagements de sa carrière sont des concerts avec the Oslo Philharmonic, Verdi
Orchestra Milano, Stockholm Radio, Netherlands Philharmonic, Helsinki
Philharmonic, Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, Bergen Philharmonic, Hong Kong
Philharmonic, Melbourne Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Los Angeles Chamber
Orchestra ainsi qu’avec le British orchestras au Halle Orchestra, Royal
Scottish National Orchestra, London Philharmonic, CBSO, RTE Orchestra, RPO,
Bournemouth Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic et le BBC Symphony.
Henning aime collaborer avec des chefs d’orchestre tels que Marek Janowski,
Ivan Fischer,
Paavo Berglund, Kirill Petrenko, Yakov Kreizberg, Mariss Jansons, Stephane Deneve, Kurt Sanderling
et bien d’autres encore. En tant que chambriste confirmé, Kraggerud joue du violon et de la viole
dans les plus grands festivals internationaux au côté de grands musiciens tels que Stephen Kovacevich,
Kathryn Stott, Leif Ove Andsnes, Jeffrey Kahane, Truls Mørk et
Martha Argerich.
Le dernier enregistrement de Kraggerud est l’ensemble des sonates pour violon
seul d’Ysaye,
enregistré pour Simax, et qui a été salué par la critique.
Né en 1973 à Oslo, il étudie auprès de Camilla Wicks et Emanuel Hurwitz et
il est le lauréat du prestigieux prix norvégien, "Grieg Prize".
Il est professeur au Barratt - Due Music Conservatoire.

Ihle Hadland est
largement reconnu comme l’un des jeunes pianistes norvégiens les plus excitants du moment
et a été nommé durant l’été comme le nouveau directeur artistique associé du Stavanger Chamber
Music Festival, poste qu’il partage avec le clarinettiste Martin Fröst.
Christian a démarré sa carrière norvégienne avec le Norwegian Radio
Orchestra / Eivind Aadland
à l’âge de quinze ans, et a depuis poursuivi sa carrière au sein des plus grands orchestres norvégiens,
comprenant plusieurs participations avec l’Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. Il a également été invité
à jouer avec le Bavarian Radio Orchestra et le Czech Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, ainsi qu’avec l’Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, l’Armenian Philharmonic et le Lithuanian Symphony Orchestras.
Un enregistrement des oeuvres pour violon et piano du compositeur Christian
Sinding accompagné de Henning Kraggerud a été fait au début de l’année
2009 pour Simax. Son dernier enregistrement de lieders d’une sélection de
compositeurs norvégiens, avec la soprano Isa Katarina Gericke est églalement
sorti chez Simax et il revient en studio en septembre 2009 pour enregistrer
Chopin pour ce même label.
Dans son pays, il a remporté de nombreux prix et récompenses comprenant le
Kjell Bækkelunds Prize en 2006, le Norwegian Soloist Prize, le Lindeman Prize
en 2007, et le Shell Prize en 2004 et 2007.
Christian Ihle Hadland est né à Stavanger en 1983 et a reçu ses premières leçons
de piano à huit ans. A l’âge de onze ans, il a rejoint le Rogaland Music
Conservatory et en 1999, il a commencé à suivre les cours de Jiri Hlinka,
professeur de Leif Ove Andsnes entre autre, dans des cours particuliers et auprés
du Barratt Due Institute of Music à Oslo.

A committed chamber musician, Kraggerud also performs both on violin and on viola at the major international festivals collaborating with musicians such as Piotr Anderszewski, Leif Ove Andsnes, Martha Argerich, Jeffrey Kahane, Stephen Kovacevich, Truls Mørk Kathryn Stott and Lars Anders Tomter. In 2004 he was Artist in Residence at the Bergen International Music Festival where he performed recitals, chamber music and concertos and in 2005, he performed with Leif Ove Andsnes in his Perspectives Season at Carnegie Hall, New York. Next season he will return to many festivals including Bergen, Risor and Verbier Festivals and recitals at the Wigmore Hall. Adding to his multi-faceted career, Kraggerud is an innovative improviser and composer, performing many of his own cadenzas and arrangements in concert and several of his compositions have been performed at Festivals worldwide.
Kraggerud has recorded three critically acclaimed CDs for Naxos – Grieg Violin Sonatas (with Helge Kjekshus), a set of Norwegian Pieces for violin and orchestra and the Sibelius and Sinding Violin Concerti with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. The most recent addition to his discography is the complete unaccompanied Violin Sonatas by Ysaye for Simax for which he received the prestigious Spellemann CD award. This has been received with critical acclaim and Andrew Clarke writes in the Financial Times:
This Norwegian violinist makes a big impression by the very fact that he does not force his virtuosity. He treats the sonatas not as technical exercises but as a musical self-communing in the spirit of Bach. The phrasing is imaginative, the tone never less than fragrant. Even if you are unfamiliar with Ysaye, one of the great virtuosi a century ago, you will enjoy this disc.
He has recently recorded four new discs for Naxos including two discs of Sinding's works for Violin and Piano, a selection of Ysaye chamber works and Spohr Double Concertos; all of which were released during the 0809 season. Henning was also involved in making a major television & cinema documentary about the Norwegian violin virtuoso and composer, Ole Bull (1810-80) which was released in November 2006 and is now available on DVD with English subtitles. Henning subsequently received the Ole Bull Prize in 2007.

Michael Croydon, est un homme extraordinaire d'une sensibilité rare. Ses
œuvres sont étonnement fortes et fragiles à la fois. Les sujets varient
d'outrage à célébration, la mort, la vie et le
mouvement...
Il est un ami qui habite maintenant à La Haye d'Ectot dans le Cotentin
où entre autres, il organise des expos d'artistes professionnels en
cadre rural à l'ancien prieuré de La Taille.
